Irak

Background

Although the security situation in 2008 has improved, with a notable drop in violence, the Iraqi population continues to suffer the consequences of the conflict, and is heavily dependent on international aid. Two million Iraqis have been displaced within the country. Therefore, MdM tries to improve the response to medical emergencies in the governorates that are most affected by the conflict, and to strengthen capacity within local healthcare teams.
